SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven experience of operating range of heavy machinery, to include wheeled and tracked 360 Excavators, Tractor/Flail Combinations, Self-propelled Flails.
- Proven compliance to Health & Safety at work.
- Diverse range of land drainage seasonal duties, flailing, weed cutting, desilting, bushing/chipping of trees and heavy manual hand labouring.
- Some mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including repair and maintenance
- Due to the physical nature of the role, you must be physically fit.
- The role requires you to be able to use a tablet to fill in RAMs and view maps and work instructions, therefore a good understanding of the English Language is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Day to day operation of heavy machinery, to include wheeled and tracked 360 Excavators and their attachments, Tractor/Flail Combinations, Self-propelled Flails.
• Chainsaw, hedge cutter, bushing, and physical work
• Bank slip repairs, removal of obstructions
• Available for short notice callouts during heavy rainfall events
• To work well as part of a team
ATTRACTIVE BENEFITS:
• HOURLY RATE: £16.33 – Pay rise agreed for April 26
• ANNUAL SALARY: £32,340
• This is a permanent role to work across the 3 Witham Drainage Boards
• Seasonal Non-Contractual/Non-Guaranteed overtime must be worked as required.
• Nine-day fortnight [compressed hours of 38 hour working week over a 76-hour fortnight]
